Tinashe was born in Harare, later moving to Gweru, and is one of the ‘born free’ generation of Zimbabwean writers. He studied English at Midlands State University, Gweru, obtained an MA in Creative Writing in Wales and is presently studying for a PhD in England. He participated in the British Council Crossing Borders Writing Project. Tinashe co-edited the collection of contemporary Zimbabwean poetry State of the Nation.
