Véronique Tadjo


Véronique is an author and painter from Cote D’Ivoire. She has won several literary awards including Le Grand Prix d’Afrique Noire in 2005.
Véronique has written many books, but is perhaps best known for her book on the Rwandan genocide,
The Shadow of Imana, Travels in the Heart of Rwanda and for As the Crow Flies. She has been a judge for the Caine Prize for African Writing and for the European Union Literary Prize for South African writing. She is currently the Head of French Studies at the University of Witswatersrand in South Africa.
